JSC Nefteavtomatika supplied an oil treatment package for Tazovsky field of Gazpromneft-Development, LLC.

6 January 2020

The oil treatment package was supplied within a large-scale project of Gazpromneft-Development, LLC, for the development of Tazovsky oil, gas and gas condensate field in the north-east of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District.

During the project, JSC Nefteavtomatika was in charge of the following:

  • Development of vendor documentation;
  • Manufacture of oil treatment packages, prefabricated as much as possible, with a controlled assembly on the site of the manufacturer;
  • Supply of equipment to Tazovsky oil, gas and gas condensate field;

The following activities will be carried out in 2020:

  • Erection supervision for the oil treatment package
  • Commissioning activities.

The oil treatment package for Tazovsky oil, gas and gas condensate field is used to separate well fluids into oil, associated petroleum gas and produced water, and treat them to meet the required conditions. Stabilized oil downstream of the oil treatment package will flow to the tank farm of the field.

The scope of oil treatment package supply includes:

  • Separators (oil and gas separators with water knock-out) used as an input separation stage (dehydration stage);
  • Heat exchangers (4 pcs.) used for treated oil heat recovery and heating of fresh water;
  • Fired heaters (PTB-5) and utilities used to heat liquid upstream of deep dehydration to the temperature of 80 °С;
  • Three-phase separators C-2 and C-3 used as a stage of preliminary dehydration;
  • Desalters used as a stage of electric dehydration;
  • Last-stage separators used to treat oil to reach the required values of saturated vapor pressure (not more than 500 mm Hg);
  • Knock-out drum with a condensate pump station used to receive gas discharges from process equipment and burn gases at the flare;
  • Water treatment;
  • Drain drums;
  • Central utilities;
  • Packaged transformer substation with an MCC room, electric tracing and air pressurization switchgear room;
  • Local automation;

An automated control system of the oil treatment unit ensures full automation of the process, continuous monitoring of the main process equipment operation, high level of safety and information output to the higher level.

The equipment was shipped and supplied in packages and large-scale assemblies, prefabricated as much as possible.
