AUTOMATED GROUP METERING STATION

An automated group metering station is used to measure the average daily weight of liquid and volume of gas to define the average daily weight of oil produced from oil wells.
Description

The stations are applied in pressurized gathering systems for products of oil wells and automated process control systems for oil production.

A separation method is used in the station to measure the weight of oil and the volume of non-associated gas.

MAIN FUNCTIONS OF AUTOMATED GROUP METERING STATIONS:

  • Direct measurements of average mass volume and weight of separated crude oil;
  • Direct measurements reduced to standard conditions for average volume flow rate and volume of separated petroleum gas;
  • Direct or indirect measurements of (volumetric) humidity W0 of liquid;
  • Indirect (calculated at the defined laboratory densities of produced water and oil) measurements of average mass flow rate and weight of separated water-free oil;
  • Measurements of gas temperature;
  • Pressure measurements in the separator and the header.

Automated group metering stations have many design versions and meet the highest process requirements, safety and reliability requirements, and can operate in various conditions.

TYPICAL COMPOSITION OF AN AUTOMATED GROUP METERING STATION:

The station consists of process equipment and instruments. The supply also includes a set of installation and spare parts, tools and accessories.
