APCS FOR HYDROCRACKING UNIT WITHIN ORSK REFINERY OF PJSC ORSKNEFTEORGSINTEZ
Facility characteristics
The hydrocracking complex under construction is the main facility within revamping of the Orsk Refinery and the largest-scale facility in the history of the enterprise. Operation of the complex makes it possible to improve the quality of produced fuel, increase processing depth and output of light oil products, as well as makes it possible to release oil products of Euro 5 class.
Project description
APCS of the hydrocracking complex is used to enhance reliability and quality of process control, stabilize the pre-set process conditions used to obtain products of the pre-set quality and optimize the process in terms of technical and economic criteria, as well as to prevent emergencies.
In the framework of the project, specialists of JSC Nefteavtomatika carried out the following activities:
- APCS design;
- Development and implementation of application software;
- Manufacture and supply of 65 automation cabinets;
- Supply of 2,997 items of instrumentation equipment;
- Supervision installation for the whole list of the supplied equipment;
- APCS commissioning and start-up.
Informational volume of the project:
- 5,900 physical signals of the distributed control system (DCS) and emergency shutdown system (ESD);
- 2,000 DCS interface signals.
The system was executed using equipment manufactured by Yokogawa. Centum Vnet/IP was used as DCS, ProSafe was used as ESD.
